Biography

Carson Zuck is a film composer, audio specialist, and educator dedicated to fostering collaboration in the broader film scoring community. Through Berklee’s Film Scoring Network, he has connected hundreds of student composers with filmmakers by managing a weekly newsletter with Call for Scores, maintaining filmmaker/composer databases, organizing networking mixers, and mentoring emerging artists. He has facilitated rescore competitions, Q&A sessions with A-list composers and industry professionals, and co-founded Berklee’s very first annual film festival (FFF).

His commitment to community and education extends to The Composer Guide and Composercamp, where he develops compositional, creative, and entrepreneurial resources and lessons for composers at all levels. At Berklee, he is actively bridging the gap between Berklee’s Conservatory and College by engaging in Berklee’s renowned Screen Scoring program and the Boston Conservatory’s Composition program, redefining what it means to be a Berklee student. As an Audio-Visual Technician, Carson ensures high-quality recordings of performances, composer recitals, and masterclasses, supporting fellow artists and ensuring their hard work is not just well documented, but is heightened through recording technology. His previous role as a Resident Assistant further reflects his dedication to community building, especially in under represented communities.

His film scoring work (fourteen shorts and two feature-length films) spans across several states and institutions including award-winning films from USC, Chapman, RIT, Emerson, MassArt, and UMich among many others and have gained tens-of-thousands of views across social platforms.
